ABM President-CEO Hughes to step down in July

Gordon Hughes will step down as President/CEO of American Business Media in July of this year.  ABM, the largest association for B2B publishers, has grappled with the challenges of its constituents which have seen revenue declines of 20% to 30% in the past year.  Hughes countered the economic impact by launching more regional events and mixing in webinars and live streaming video.

In an email to ABM members, Hughes says the following about his future plans:

"I will be returning to my entertainment industry roots, from whence I came. Twenty years at CBS Television and two Emmy Awards allow me the opportunity to work once again in that fast-paced, crazy world."
