Mobile: The Next Newsstand? is part of the The Magazine Mobile Imperative: A Luncheon & Webcast Series presented by eMedia Vitals and the MPA. This session will explore the following questions:

• Which paid content model is having greater success, one-time app downloads or subscriptions?

• Should I focus my time and energy on e-readers, smart phones, or both?

• What are the key characteristics of successful paid content mobile offerings?

• How do I price my mobile offering?

• What technology platforms are available to help me create mobile offerings?

The panel will be moderated by eMedia Vitals' Rob O'Regan, and a panel of experts will share their real-world answers to the questions posed above.

Gregg Hano's forward focus has fueled successful initiatives and tremendous growth in print and online, such as rolling out Bonnier's Mag+ platform to much fanfare earlier this year. Hano also oversees Popular Science’s new multimedia magazines,Instructables.com, Toolmonger.com and the print and online components of the new "Popular Science: The Future Of" TV show. 

NOAH ELKIN, SENIOR ANALYST, EMARKETER

Noah Elkin, Ph.D., is Senior Analyst at eMarketer, where he covers trends in mobile marketing, usage, content, devices and commerce. In addition to his analyst duties, Noah is co-founder and co-chair of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) Emerging Technologies Committee, which focuses on developing thought leadership around the intersection of search and new content and technology platforms such as mobile, interactive TV and social media. He also serves on the Direct Marketing Association’s iDirect Leadership Committee.

DAVID STEINBERGER, CEO, COMIXOLOGY

David Steinberger is the CEO of comiXology, the leading digital comic distributor for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Creator of both Comics by comiXology and the Marvel Comics app, comiXology has positioned itself uniquely in the comic book industry landscape by selling both brick-and-mortar (print) services and digital versions of comics. comiXology's vision is to help consumers find comics when, where and it what form they want. David has a MBA from NYU | Stern School of Business, a Master in Music Performance from Manhattan School of Music and an Advanced Certificate in Music Performance from Juilliard.
