Media blogs we love (or at least like)

Whoever is responsible for the quote "everyone's a critic" didn't have to worry about bloggers. As self-publishing becomes easier there are more voices than ever on the Web, and sometimes it can be time-consuming to discover high-quality content.

Fear not, as we have our fingers on the pulse of the media blogosphere. After combing through our stuffed bookmark folders and crowded RSS readers, here are our favorite media blogs:

BuzzMachine - What Would Google Do? author Jeff Jarvis writes about content curation and smart media.

KISSmetrics focuses on leveraging metrics to grow online business. (Co-founder and wunderkind Neil Patel is crazy smart and has his own blog.)

The King Fish Media Think Tank is a blog / forum that loves making media trending predictions and discussing ways to implement new media.

Tippingpoint Labs' The Tipping Point is chock full of line graphs and podcasts for both visual and aural learners.

Ben Huh, CEO of the Cheezburger Network is all about being hands off. Many hope the secret to his minimalist success lies in his blog.

HARO founder Peter Shankman's apparent zest for life is U.S. media's answer to Sir Richard Branson—minus the island and spaceship.

CoPress, a college media hosting company run by college students, offers a peek inside what tomorrow's innovators are up to today.

Invisible Inkling - Publish2 director of news innovation and journalism thinker Ryan Sholin blogs about how technology is changing journalism.

Nick Denton - The Gawker publisher doesn't blog much, but when he does it is a peak inside one of the world's most fascinating media companies.

All Facebook - As Facebook plays an increasingly important role in your social media strategy, stay up to date with the best Facebook blog around.

Nieman Journalism Lab - Staffers here work full-time covering innovation in media with long, thoughtful features.

Google News Blog - As Rupert Murdoch would be happy to tell you, Google has an impact on the way publishers do business. Keep track of evolving features and services provided by the search giant and feel free to get out your frustration in the blog's comment sections.

ConsumerGeneratedMedia - Marketing guru Pete Blackshaw sounds off on all things related to social media and word-of-mouth marketing.

Romanesko - This blog by the Poynter Institute's Jim Romanesko covers media news and ethics with an insider's tone. And no, he didn't single-handedly kill Editor & Publisher.

All Things Digital - The Wall St. Journal blog offers news and commentary about the "digital revolution," from technology to advertising to new media.
